Professional Membership

There are three main grades of membership for the organization:

Fellow

  • Fellow shall be elected by the Management Council.
  • Fellow shall be over 30 years of age.
  • Fellow shall be an individual who is free from any criminal offence by the court(s) of law.
  • The applicant shall possess the following minimum qualification(s):
  • A recognized professional degree / qualification in Logistics or Transportation with 10 years related experience, of which 4 years serving a related trade organization/ association; or
  • A recognized academic degree in Logistics or Transportation with 15 years related experience, of which 4 years serving a related trade organization / association; or
  • 25 years related experience, of which 15 years at a management level and 6 years serving a related trade organization/ association; and
  • 2 years as a president/ chairman of a related trade organization / association in Malaysia; or
  • An individual of distinction or eminence, usually the Head of Company / Group, who performs and contributes to the betterment of logistics and transportation sectors at national level.
  • Fellow shall be designated and known as “Senior Logistician” and may use the prefix ‘Log’.
  • Fellow shall be entitled to carry the post-nominal letters FLogM.

Member

  • Member shall be elected by the Management Council.
  • Member shall be over 25 years of age.
  • Member shall be an individual who is free from any criminal offence by the court(s) of law.
  • The applicant shall possess the following minimum qualification(s):
  • A recognized professional degree/ qualification in Logistics or Transportation; or
  • A recognized academic degree in Logistics or Transportation with 3 years related experience; or
  • 18 years related experience, of which 8 years at a management level and 4 years serving a related trade organization / association.
  • Member shall be designated and known as “Logistician” and may use the prefix ‘Log’.
  • Member shall be entitled to carry the post-nominal letters MLogM.

 

Associate

  • Associate shall be elected by the Management Council.
  • Associate shall be over 21 years of age.
  • Associate shall be an individual who is free from any criminal offence by the court(s) of law.
  • The applicant shall possess the following minimum qualification(s):
  • A recognized academic degree in Logistics or Transportation; or
  • A recognized professional degree/ qualification in any field with 3 years related experience; or
  • iii. A recognized academic degree in any field with 6 years related experience; or
  • 15 years related experience, of which 5 years at a management level or 2 years serving a related trade organization / association.
  • Associate shall be designated and known as “Associate Logistician”.
  • Associate shall be entitled to carry the post-nominal letters ALogM.
